Calling all writers! What are you up to in your school library? Do you like to review children's books, middle grade, YA, or even professional titles? Would you like to share what you are doing in your school library? We are looking for book reviews, website reviews, web tool and app reviews, conference reflections, best practices using the IFC, fun pictures of your weeded books, before and after photos of your renovations, photos of your makerspaces and displays, photos of your students in action in the library, and articles in general. Happy new year library colleagues! And welcome to 2023! For this month's issue, we have three feature articles and an informational article by our own Leanne Ellis. First, we hear from Christina Gavin, who shares the work she does to advocate for school libraries through the UFT. Next, Jillian Rudes shares her new book coming out and some other useful information about using manga in the classroom and library, and finally, we hear from Lauren Ginsberg-DeVilbiss, who is the sustainability coordinator in her school, and how she has inspired her students to fight against climate change.
