11X127 The Castle Hill Junior High School

Castle Hill Junior High SchoolBryant Jackson is the principal of JHS 127X in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. The school was awarded $22,896.30. The librarian, a Teacher2Librarian candidate, is a former Spanish teacher who is now working towards her MLS degree. The focus of the library program will be on developing unique programming opportunities for students such as book tasting events and having the middle school students read to the elementary school students in the building they share.

Before

Prior to the VITAL libraries grant, the library was used as a storage space.
