The Scholars' Academy

The Scholar's AcademyScholars' Academy serves approximately 1200 students in grades 6-12. Our students travel from all over the city and represent a wide variety of cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our library is the hub of our school. It’s located on the second floor and is the size of two classrooms. We have twenty large bookcases. There is a small carpeted area for students to sit and comfortably read and a laptop charging area. Our current furniture consists of standard student desks arranged into small groups.

The library is always busy and crowded with students coming for Research Class and open access. Students come to work, read, play games, and socialize with friends. Our library is a “third space” for our students and helps them to learn and grow both academically and emotionally. Our goal is to make our library the welcoming heart of our community, where everyone comes to learn, discover, create and connect. We hope to make the physical environment meet the vibe we have created.
