Registering for the NYC School Librarian Directory makes you a member of the NYC School Library System and entitles you to FREE Professional Learning Opportunities, mini-grants, databases, and additional supports.

The New York City School Library System (NYCSLS) is seeking applicants for our Collection Maintenance Program. This program provides a menu of services to school libraries in NYC including weeding, inventory, automation, and barcoding. Filling out this form is not a guarantee of being offered assistance, it is the tool to help NYCSLS understand the needs of the library and to be considered as a project site in the academic year 2023-2024. If you have filled this out in the past but still need more help, please submit again. Please email your coordinator after completing the application.

The Office of Library Services/NYC School Library System (OLS/NYCSLS) struggles finding locations for in-person professional learning opportunities. We would love to offer more in-person sessions, but finding sites convenient to public transportation, with technology, and FREE is a problem. We are hoping you can help! If your library is available to host a library professional learning opportunity for your colleagues, please let us know!

The NYC Public Schools is charged with developing and curating a diverse and inclusive collection of titles to meet the needs and interests of all students with the Citywide Digital Library on Sora.

We welcome all recommendations of titles to be included in the collection. All recommendations will be reviewed and vetted by staff from the Office of Library Services. If approved, the title will be considered for the Citywide Digital Library.
