The VITAL Libraries grant program is a substantial grant award that takes NYC public school libraries to the next level. VITAL stands for Vital, Instructional, Transformative, Accessible, Learning, Libraries.

Rachel Carson High School for Coastal StudiesLast year, the principals of I.S. 303 and Rachel Carson High School for Coastal Studies worked together and made reopening the library a top priority for both schools to ensure that this space was accessible to both learning communities. Since day one, both administrations have been incredibly supportive of the new library program, and are active participants in developing programs and fostering its role in both schools.
