Sandra Hughes-Hassell, Ph.D., is a professor in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is President of YALSA. Her most recent book is Libraries, Literacy, and African American Youth (Libraries Unlimited, 2017), co-edited with Pauletta Bracy and Casey Rawson.
